The Story

Sean Cornwell and Ed Stumpf were among the runners at the 2007 North Pole Marathon. Perhaps taking a cue from Bobby Bostic (now a veteran of not only the North Pole Marathon but also the Death Valley Ultramarathon), the duo also ran the Sahara Marathon earlier this year. This short video documents the run. I wonder what was more brutal? ... I'm guessing the Sahara race. Sean, who is a senior product marketing manager at Google, also blogged about the 2 races on the Official Google Blog.

Of course I'm a bit impartial, but I think running 135 miles through Death Valley is harder than running 26.2 miles anywhere... : )

I spent some time with Sean at the Pole - truly a great guy!
