Favorite thing about running

I love the competion of racing and being able to get away from everything else and explore on trail runs.

Favorite Destination

Winchester, CT in summer time.

My Shoes

Train in Asics (GT-21 series). Race in Addidas Boston LD's on the track for a mile and down. Race in Saucony Kilkenny's for everything over a mile.

Where I've Raced and Traveled

All over CT. Went to ME for New England's 2007 in XC and Outdoor Track (spring '08). I traveled to race at the Reggie Lewis Center for New England's 2008 in Indoor Track. Also went all the way to New York City to race at the Armory for the National Scholastic Indoor Championships. One of the coolest places I've raced was at Van Courtland Park in NYC for the Footlocker Northeast Championships in XC. Still working on building up my experiences running around the northeast. Off to Manchester New Hampshire the Reggie again and Burlington Vermont for New England's in XC, indoor and outdoor respectively.

Races Won or Placed

During Outdoor of 2008 I was on the CCC, CT Class LL and CT State Open 4x800m relay championship teams, running for Glastonbury, CT. I had PR's in the 800 at CCC (in the open), LL and New Englands, both in the 4x8. At New Englands we set a school record of 7:53.35 placing 2nd behind Merrimack, NH. I split 1:55.75 for the second leg of our relay taking the baton from 7th to second. During the indoor season of 2007-2008 I was on the winning Central Connecticut Conference 4x8. We ran 8:20 in the 4x8 the next week at the Class LL state championships for 3rd place and I anchored in 2:01.66. We would go on to place 3rd at the CT State Open and 7th at New Englands. I ran a PR (at the time) of 2:00.25 at New Englands. I also won my heat in the mile in 2008 at the Yale Invitational in 4:39.

Running Tip

Run through shin splints, they are nothing.

Favorite Running Memory

Running down Danbury, CT in the 4x8 at the Class LL State Championships while all of my teamates chanted my name. It was kind of like the movie Rudy, just not as intense. It's on flotrack though so everyone can see it...
