  • I was in need of an 8ish mile run this morning to get things going. I will be pacing a friend for 38 miles at Western States in a little under a month, so NOT getting a run in longer than 4 or 5 miles today would have been suicidal!
  • The first 4 around Lake Merritt felt like DEATH... Once I got to the hills, everything was dandy! Strong finish - no aches or pains (major ones anyway)

  • I'm in LA for business and decided to give my Newton Motion shoes another go.. Running south on Figueroa, I noticed a steady stream of folks dressed as Stormtroopers, Princess Leah... even a Wookie.. It was a relief to see the big Star Wars Convention sign at the Convention Center..
