Another Dam 50k

Another Dam 50k

Taken by a volunteer with my camera as we came out of the woods approaching the finish line. This is my second 50k race, but the first one I finished. I had to stop in my first one in January at the marathon mark. Did this one in 6:32:33.

So Dam Hot! Another Dam 50k
Englewood Metropark near Dayton, OH
June 2, 2007

While I was home this week, I was going to take revenge on my 50k from January when I chose to quit after the marathon distance. I was going to go to the same Buckeye Trail course and run it now. When I started asking around for anyone who wanted to join me, Josh suggested instead that I come down and run Another Dam 50k with him. I accepted.

Plateau Trail in the Oak Hill Trail loop

Got my best friend Scott to go into the woods with me today, he is a non runner pretty much...but I talked him into with promises of walking, etc. He took this shot for me. This is in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park System between Cleveland and Akron, OH.

This is Mary Campbell's cave near Akron, OH. I don't know if the contest is still going on, but the picture is yours if you like it.....I really get a kick out of seeing my photo at the top of the page!
