Leadville 100 - pacer and crew

Posted by redifrogger on 8/1/2007 on redifrogger's blog

Well - I have a buddy running the Leadville 100 mile Race Across the Sky, and I volunteered to be a pacer for him. Never been in Colorado before - I am going to be one hurtin' pup when this is done. I won't be able to get there until Thursday and the race starts at 4 a.m. on Saturday. I will be sucking wind the whole time. It's living though!

Running In The Snow

Posted by brad on 11/19/2006 on brad's blog

Pontentilla Trail - 57:45 - 3m. So - 19:45 / mile isn't impressive, but it's probably the pace I can expect for the North Pole Marathon. I went for a run in the mountains behind my house in Keystone. The snow was melted into a slushy mud on half of the route and a foot deep on the other half. The phrase that echoed in my mind was "what a bitch." I started listening to The Fountainhead so I had some old friends with me (Roark, Cameroon, Keating).

I had a rotten running week - nothing in particular - just tired and unmotivated feeling. I'm going to push a little this week and see how I feel.
