Ryan Hall goes under the hour for half marathon

Posted by simon on 1/17/2007 on simon's blog

This is the performance they're all talking about: 24-year-old Ryan Hall ran 59:43 to win the Aramco Houston Half-Marathon at the weekend, broke the 21-year-old American record by more than a minute and is now officially "the fastest non-African born runner in the half marathon".

He had to string together 4:30 miles; it's unthinkable!

Video of the race, by Flocast, is here.
