Surf City Half Marathon 2.3.08

Posted by Runner NYC on 2/11/2008 on Runner NYC's blog

Hi all, Race number 4 was the Surf City Half Marathon.  It was an out-and-back course along the Pacific Coast Highway with a 3-mile loop back into the hills. Goals:  I’d just run the Manhattan Half Marathon the weekend before, so I wasn’t sure how my legs would feel, not to mention jet-l

Will Rogers 10K

Posted by littlemamalopez on 7/5/2007 on littlemamalopez's blog

Yesterday was the 30th Annual Will Rogers 5/10K in Pacific Palisades, CA. I did the 10K with my running buddies. It was extremely hot and hilly. All was well, with a nice downhill start, but our plan of finishing under an hour were shattered when we reached the 6 switchbacks through Will Rogers Park. We finished in 1:02:58. It was still a fun run, and I would do it again.

Saturday Plans

Posted by littlemamalopez on 6/14/2007 on littlemamalopez's blog

I have a fun run on Saturday morning. The Manhattan Beach 5K. It is all on the sand, down by the water. No personal records to be set, no worries. I ran a mile yesterday with my son, and tomorrow I'm going to try some of those 200's I've been reading about. Get some anxiety out as fast as I can. Next week is back to serious training.

Run hard!
