While Bobby Bostic was the lucky one -- or was he? brrrr :) -- to win the Brad Feld/YourRunning.com North Pole Marathon Entry Giveaway contest, I sincerely hope that you'll want to help him in what really is a noble cause: Raising up to $250,000 for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. Each of the last several years Bobby has done some crazy solo endurance thing and raised money for CAF. Last year when he did an ultramarathon in Death Valley, he raised over $150,000. This year's crazy event is, of course, running in the North Pole Marathon AND riding in the North Pole Bike Extreme race immediately after the foot race. He's got an ambitious goal of raising $100,000 more than last year! Can you help? ... If you can, make a donation yourself. And/or let your friends (running and otherwise) know about Bobby's polar run and the fundraising drive. You can donate to Bobby's Challenged Athletes campaign here. Bobby also will be reporting on the campaign's progress on his "Hot & Cold Running Blog." | |
