Why should we pick you to go to the North Pole?:
Why would you pick me to go? I dunno... maybe to counter the bombastic style of many of your other applicants? I'm just sayin'

Offer some evidence that you can complete a marathon in harsh, sub-zero conditions at the North Pole:
I can do anything. I have sub-zero running gear and don't mind a little ice on the nose hairs...

Tell us about your cold-weather race experience:
Austin, Tx - 2006. 19 degrees and ice on the road. Not a good time to run a marathon, but I did.

Tell us about your marathon experience, including times, results, etc.:
11 marathons. 1 DNF. 3:19:17 PB. 4:35:22 PW. Two 3:19s within 3 weeks.

What do you expect your North Pole Marathon time to be?:
5:30

Can you write well? Explain:
I write like most people think... candid, and to the point. I have little time for eloquence.

Tell us about your media experience:
Performed on stage w/Kitty Wells at 5 years old... have had various media exposure since including AFN.

Matt is hysterical...too bad that he did not put more effort into this "application". I have been at a few marathons with Matt...a nice cold rain, freezing mist, strong winds (now that I think about it, I should never run another marathon that Matt runs, they have all been lousy weather). Matt is focused and determined...and generally down right funny. He is intelligent and would be an interesting choice. I know a few of the runners on the list, and Matt would actually be a much better choice than his application would lead you to believe.
