I am sorry you have to look at this face, but I thought the tale told on my shirt made it worthwhile. For those of you who don't understand why we replace electrolytes (salt/potassium/calcium chloride, etc.) when running long runs...look at my shirt. All that salt and other electrolytes has left my system....without replacing it, my stomach will slowly get worse and worse at absorbing the water I am drinking to stay hydrated. This will eventually cause me to cramp up and feel other nasty symptoms slowing me down, and maybe even stopping me if it gets too far. This is after 37 miles in my 39 mile run in roughly 80 degree conditions.
