Welcome to YourRunning.com! To see what this website is all about, click to view the short video at the right of Enthusiast-in-Chief Simon Martin explaining it all. ...

We'll wait while you watch the vid. ...

OK, so if you couldn't quite figure out what Simon was blabbing about because of all that heavy breathing, here's the longer explanation for the non-video generation.

YourRunning.com is ABOUT you. And it's BY you.

You see, the driving philosophy of YourRunning.com is that runners have stories to tell ... and photos to share ... and videos, too ... and advice to impart.

The professional journalists who write for running magazines have interesting stories that they tell. But they probably aren't telling YOUR story, because they don't know about it. So we created YourRunning.com to be the place to share your running stories and advice and images with a community of people who care about running as much as you do!

Here's the big thing to know about YourRunning.com: This is a website where you share your passion, not just read about it.

When you drop by for a visit here: share one of your stories ... or post a photo or a video ... or participate in a discussion forum ... or start a running blog ... or announce an event or race ... or comment on what someone else has shared.

(And we promise to run lots of contests to keep you enthused, so if you share some really cool stuff on the site, you'll be able to win great running schwag.)

YourRunning.com is very much an online community -- of people who share your passion (or perhaps it's obsession) with running. In fact, those are probably the only people you'll encounter here. People just like you.

A useful purpose of the site is to find those runners like you. We're in the process of building new tools to help runners hook up with other runners who live near them, or to find running partners when they're traveling.

Oh, and who's that Simon guy with the British accent? As Enthusiast-in-Chief, Simon is the guy who keeps this community humming, and the guy to ask for expert advice.

And Simon also writes, blogs and shares his own photos and videos on the site. Check out his Run Time blog, the regular and usually humorous musings of a running addict.

OK, that's YourRunning.com! We've had our say. Now it's your turn. ...
