Where do we stand ?

I just established a benchmark for myself with a 5:20 mile. It was the first time in my running life that I was content to trail the field through the first 400. My weight today is 173 ( I'm 6 feet )and I'm going to drop at least fifteen pounds before Sept 1. My other thought is to try to do it in Boulder - Pearl Street. Any thoughts ?
My splits were: 83 / 83 / 78 / 76
I'm becoming a big believer in negative splits. By September , I want to run 78 / 78 / 75 / 68 - for a 4:59.
A poll: Who believes that 4 x 75 is a better approach ? I read a little , and have opinions , but am always a student.
Happy trails !
Chase
