I am a working mother and have no time to run as much as i used to, and i'm looking for a short running event that i can take my kids out to.  Their young, at the age of 7 and 9, so I'm just looking for a small short event that we can walk on and get fun under the sun.

Check out the post beneath yours! The Coastwise Mile in La Jolla. If you're in the San Diego/La Jolla area, it's a super kid-friendly 1-mile race. They're even doing shorter races on the grass for the littlest kids. Alternatively, you can do the whole 1-mile race with your kids in the Baby Jogger Division. There's going to be an event expo going on too, with face painting and balloon animals and all that. Here's the link to check out more information:
