Posted by RunAndyRun on 3/18/2008 Hey everyone I found the site through the facebook app and its great. I've been into running on and off for a while but I want to take it more seriously and train for some events. I'm going to attempt my fastest time for a mile on the weekend (barring injury). I'm doing mixed training at the moment, I have days when i go for long runs and others where i try to get the best shorter distance times possible. I am saving up for a forerunner 405....see if i can keep better track of my progress then...anyone else got one?
Cheers

Lot of Garmin fans on this site, Andy.
If you tap "Garmin" into the search box on the right of this page, you'll get some good hits.
I'm still using a vintage Garmin 301 that I've customized to give me "time until next cup of tea" readings.
Also, I've recently nominated the latest Garmin -- the 405 -- as "gadget of the year" here. I haven't even seen one, let alone tried it, but they look just great and have an optional foot pod as well as the enhanced GPS. Nice!
How did your mile go?
