Hello everyone!!!

I am new to this website. I'm not new to running. I started running to lose weight and became addicted. I run almost everyday unless I hurt myself some way. When I started, I was about 260 lbs and 47% body fat. After about 6 years, I am now 165 lbs and 9% body fat.

I lived in the midwest my whole life until I had a career opportunity in Colorado. I started trail running this past summer (2007) and have learned a lot about myself and nutrition along the way. I love running up a mountain while people take a chairlift or a gondola. Running through the forest is awesome. I performed an event at the Beaver Creek Ski Resort this summer and while running with a lot of people, there was a large mule deer standing about 20 feet from the trail looking at all the runners. I think it was probably the most connected with nature I have been because all of my other experiences, the animals run off.

This next year, I plan on completing a couple of marathons (on and off road) and maybe an ultramarathon. I would love to participate in the Wild West Relay (a relay over 196 miles through the mountains) AKA "Get your ass over the pass." I currently don't have enough people I know to run the event. If anyone knows of the race and looking to get a team together or knows of some openings please let me know (scmpeters@yahoo.com).

I am looking forward to meeting everyone on the website and maybe find some running partners.

Thank you

Scott Peterson
