Hello There

Posted by agoyette on 4/26/2007

Hello,

I am a pretty novice runner who has signed on with the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society to run in the Marine Corp Marathon in October. a pretty daunting task plus I need to raise $2,800 at least for the charity. My goal is actually to reach over $5,000. I thought your running would be a great spot to post about being a first time marathoner and the trials of training for anyone who might be interested. I also thought it would be a great way to spread the "word". So I plan on doing my first run tonight and will go from there. For more information on the charity and how to donate please click here:

Thanks,

Adam

So, what's happening?

Hi Simon,
Well I put together another post outlining my first days of training over the weekend ( http://www.yourrunning.com/blog-first_weekend_of_training ) and plan to do a weekly post on the training and fundraising efforts.

I ran 4 miles on Monday followed by another 3 on Tuesday and took Wednesday off. On the fundraising side of things my company has agreed to make a donation of $300! I will post on Sunday or Monday more details after my first full week.

Until then I will keep running and fundraising!
