Roch Week in Review

Posted by SteveRoch on 7/29/2007

Week 10 - counting down to Denver Marathon. Following the Pfitzinger Advanced Marathoning 12 Week program that worked so well for the past two marathons.

81 miles this week plus have been doing the "Tour de France" at my athletic club (spin classes while watching the tour) so a total of 15+ hours of training this week.

Wednesday - Decent 15+ miler with Andy Carlson. He runs at 5:00am though, ouch!!!

Which came first: roads without shoulders/sidewalks or obesity?

Posted by SteveRoch on 7/19/2007

Back in Boulder after three weeks in Jefferson City, MO. In three weeks I saw a grand total of one runner and two cyclists. I did eventually see some thin people but rare. Got lots of honks and cars that had never seen a runner.

Jefferson, City:
Okay lots of fast running over the past days finally caught up to me today. Planned on taking it easy but legs were aching most of the way. Giant downhills didn't help almost wish it could be all uphill.

Rest + Fat Air = Euphoric Running

Posted by SteveRoch on 7/1/2007

Meant to start posting last week when started running again after much needed three weeks off after marathon training and work stress sent my running to the toilet.

Almost every run for the past week has been one of those euphoric runs where I'm hammering at the end and feeling strong. I was feeling so bad for the two months April through June that it's just such a relief to be running pain free.
