Use it or loose it

Yesterday, Tuesday May 22nd, I ran 3.1 miles for the purpose of preparing for my next 5k which is this Saturday, May 26th. Lately, I've been more successful in getting out there and running. I checked my log and noticed that I haven't been able to be as dedicated since July 2005. Actually, in reality since the fall of 2003 was my last real dedication of my running. The real reason for this was the fact in March of 2004, we moved and my schedule at worked changed, thus putting to many issues in front of me and therefor I was unable to focus on running. For me, running is the ultimate mind clearer. I need to run otherwise, timmy is in trouble - he he. But, anyway, getting back to the subject here, since I haven't been able to be as dedicated, I have found that it is really true, you either use it or loose it, well, I lost it. I finished Tuesday's run with a time of 40:23 for the distance of 3.1 miles. My best time for this distance is 28:01. So, you can imagine how I felt. But, none the less, all ahead forward!!!!! I am using this next race as a "launch pad" for the rest of my running of the year. My motivation is back and now that I know that raining won't get in my way anymore, there are more opportunities for running! Well, gotta run!
