Posted by simon on 8/7/2007 on simon's blog Well, that wasn't fun! Having failed with Plan A, which involved getting up at 5am to make the start of the Evergreen Town Race, I decided to wait until the evening cool and hit the track for a follow-up to last-week's "therapy" session. I hadn't slept well, and also when the alarm went off I registered that I had a really sore throat -- this has been lingering since the England trip. Just after I left the house it started slooshing down with rain, so I drove to the track. As soon as I got out of the car I felt really weak. I walked a bit, then broke into my routine warm-up shamble. 50m was enough to tell me there'd be no training...maybe I'm going down with "airline flu" or somethng, but running is OUT. | |
