SIMON SAYS: Simon Martin's Run Time

More dispatches this week from the United Kingdom, where YourRunning.com's enthusiast-in-chief and resident Brit Simon Martin has been "rediscovering" his homeland.

After battling the "big, bad city" streets of London, Simon ventured off into the magical mixed woodland of High Wycombe, where he rediscovered himself. And by "rediscovered himself," we mean "got lost."

One bus timetable, a tourist map and the activation of his Garmin GPS's "return to start" feature eventually led him back home for tea, so the next day he retrieved his legs with some shorter distances in Hyde Park (no "on-the-run" navigation home necessary). He also broke in his new mini-camera, inspired by Jetfuelburner.

"Martin. Simon Martin." That's how Simon's been introducing himself for the past few days. You see, thanks to pollution, ubiquitous city cigarette smoke and perhaps the onset of a sickness, he's adopted the full Roger Moore voice.

Get your martini shaken (NOT stirred) in Simon's blog: Run Time.

THEM'S RUNNIN' WORDS - And we all blog on...

It's the YourRunning user blog action - not on any best seller list, but only because they're totally free!

YourRunner Brad has been enjoying his office relocation's running benefits, but is suffering from a severe case of puppy ownership, while North Poler and general lunatic Bobby Bostic continues his now-weekly and highly effective tease job. As new YourRunner thedanx prepares for the HardRock Hundred ultra-marathon, new runner snake_master1967 asked (and received) for advice to get in shape for a new job. Does your head hurt? Do you want it to? The just take a gander at Dave Albo's new training equation. Weltal1327 wants running websites to get their acts together, while community noob jwillis wants to get rid of those baffling side stitches. And rounding out the blog wrap, a gem of advice from StellaTortoise: always listen to your mother.
