SIMON SAYS: Simon Martin's Run Time

This week marked a return to the United Kingdom for YourRunning.com's enthusiast-in-chief and resident Brit Simon Martin.

From the hills and altitude of Boulder to the flatlands and supple air of sea-level London, Simon was ready to step off the plane and immediately blast off into a running state of blissful ease. Well, that was until he actually did step off the plane into London summer and the after effects of a nine hour flight. Displeased with his lack of immediate running dominance, Simon was even more disappointed in the lack of Boulder-like runner salutations of joy while moving through Hyde Park.

Accepting that the "big, bad city" is just going to be different than Boulder, but still illiciting a smile from another runner, Simon began getting his legs back during a run through Princess Di's unofficial shrine: Kensington Gardens.

Get all the details of Simon's return to England in his blog: Run Time.

THEM'S RUNNIN' WORDS - And we all blog on...

It's the YourRunning user blog action - celebrating independence since 2006!

YourRunning.com's North Poler Bobby Bostic scared the living bejeezus out of his loyal readers when he announced that instead of pacing a friend in the Western States 100, he was "laying on a bed in the emergency room." A few days later, the pandemonium subsided when he let us in on the details: his son had actually taken a nasty spill, but all involved were doing okay. He made up for the scare by throwing out quite the generous offer to those in or around New York City. While hill machine Brad continued to conquer hill after hill, YourRunning.com's Fit from Fat blogger Jetfuelburner continued his ultra-distance training (and great photo taking). Dave Albo laced up a pair of gold shoes and did his best Michael Johnson impersonation, and Michael J. Keenan ended up surrounded by seemingly Olympic caliber runners at the loaded Four on the Fourth race in Chester, Connecticut.

That's just a lap of the blog writing on YourRunning.com - go the whole distance!
