Posted by brad on 11/19/2006 on brad's blog Pontentilla Trail - 57:45 - 3m. So - 19:45 / mile isn't impressive, but it's probably the pace I can expect for the North Pole Marathon. I went for a run in the mountains behind my house in Keystone. The snow was melted into a slushy mud on half of the route and a foot deep on the other half. The phrase that echoed in my mind was "what a bitch." I started listening to The Fountainhead so I had some old friends with me (Roark, Cameroon, Keating). I had a rotten running week - nothing in particular - just tired and unmotivated feeling. I'm going to push a little this week and see how I feel. I've got a marathon on 12/9 but if I don't get in a groove this week I'll probably punt. | |
