Polar Princess - Trains

Posted by Jill Salva on 1/24/2007 on Jill Salva's blog

Hi all.....

QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Like all seekers of the Pole, the team members discovered nothing tangible – only what was within themselves.”
~”North to the Pole” Pg 316
National Geographic, Vol. 170, No 3

TODAY
Today is a day to go within – to surrender. It is a CorePower Yoga day.

TRAINING - EXCITEMENT BUILDS
It has been many years since I summitted Illimani (21,122 ft) and Condoriri (18,531 ft) in Bolivia. Yes I am feeling the same SENSE OF WONDER and EXCITEMENT as I prepare for Ecuador and the North Pole!

With a mere 9 days until departure for Ecuador – I added a second workout yesterday. The gym was overly crowed and smelled like ass. Donning a 30 lb pack, I hit the stair-blaster for 60 minutes, sporting sexy Frankenstein-esque double boots.

And when I approached the stair-blasters they were all occupied….moving to the sign-in list I couldn’t believe my eyes. It read “Date: 01/23; Name: Jill”! What?! That’s right, somehow I was already signed in. Glancing back over my shoulder, suddenly one of the stair-blasters was empty. Cool! With a brief “thank you” to God/Great Spirit – I climbed aboard for my workout.

I also lifted weights for another 35 minutes or so – concentrating on arms and the back of my legs.

Polar Princess….over and out.
