Yesterday was a late night. Having worked an evening clinic in Denver, arriving home at 10 pm with child in tow. No afternoon workout yesterday….grrrr….

TRAINING
Waking to my neighbors mufferless car at 4:30 am – I put on some layers and headed to the lake for a run. Typical Colorado snow conditions: some granular unconsolidated snow – mixed with hard crunchy snow. Running (stumbling) without a headlamp proved to be a mistake. There was much cloud cover and the trail was dark – my breath heavy – rushing – rushing – rushing with the burden of motherhood looming large over my head….hurry, hurry, hurry…get back in time to cook a nutritious breakfast. Who will cook for me?
