Bobby Bostic's Hot & Cold Running Blog

My guess is they're gearing up for a triathlon of sorts at some point..

CRAZY

I see what they're doing. First a few years of running folks through a marathon, then they add a bike race. The logical next step is to cut holes in the ice in 2009 (assuming it's not all melted by then anyway) and stage a swim. I can hear it now - IRONMAN NORTH POLE 2010.

If "weather permits," I'm going to try to get my hands on a bike while I'm up there to see what it's like. Much like running in sub-zero conditions, I'm sure biking in the freezing cold is going to be a treat (but an experience worth having nonetheless).

Time to make the lunches for the kids. Today is my day to walk my son to school.

Talk to you later,
Bobby

I like triathlons, but I don't think I'm going up north for any... ever. :)

I may drill a hole in the ice sheet and get my pinky wet just to say I did all three.. : )
