Facing hard head winds

Posted by trunner on 1/20/2007 on trunner's blog

It was in the low to mid 30's today and I was debating on working out inside versus running outside because to me it was that cold out. I had to leave the house for a while and on the way back I saw to guys running. At least one of them had shorts on. I thought, well, if they can, so can I. When I got back, I changed and started out. Wow, the temperature really didn't bother me. It was that darn wind. I don't do well in really windy conditions. Be that as it may, I am glad I went out for the run. I would have been stuck indoors had I not saw those two guys out there. See, this is another way how other runners out there motivate us. Just by being out there. I could tell that if it wasn't as windy, I could have done better. I was properly dressed and fueled for the run. My finish time was 42.5 for 3.25 miles. Not my best by a long shot. But, since time was not my goal today, I won't complain. I was out there. However, soon, I need to start being concerned about time. I race from April through October. So, I got to get these leggies out there. Well, gotta run he he he
