Bobby Bostic's Hot & Cold Running Blog

Enough of the twists and turns...

Posted by baselbutt on 7/7/2007 on baselbutt's blog

While generally one to appreciate a run with lots of twists and turns, I'm definitely not one to react well when life throws one or two my way.. Let's just say I'm glad I have a rolodex full of runs that are designed to clear my head..

"So what's going on Bobby?"

Let's just say some mighty BIG decisions are going to be made over the next few weeks and not a single one has to do with running.. That said, I will need my running like a body needs a head - a lot of details to work out - which fortunately means either a lot of running to do, or a lot of showers to take (I think best while doing either)

This morning's little head-clearer took me on my favorite 9 mile loop (Trestle Glen to Park to Mountain to Moraga to Pleasent Valley to Grand to Lakeshore and home).. For good measure, I added a short spurt up Snake [maybe good for an extra three-quarters of a mile]..

Physically I felt off for the first 3 miles, but by the time I hit my stride at mile 4, I was deep in thought and well on my way to feeling absolutely sensational!.

I'm late to pick my son up from his friend's house, so I had better sign off.. As I get to a point where I can let outsiders in on my little/huge "issue", you all will be the first ones to find out..

??

I'll give you credit for one thing, you sure know how to leave your audience hanging. ;-) First, the emergency room fiasco and now the big changes. Pins and needles my friend. Have you ever considered writing script for the TV series "24"? :-)

This has just been an interesting year... One thing I can say is that the "thing" that was thrown in my path to work through is actually going to happen.. (that's good news).. Once my parents find out, I'll let you all in. : )
