Posted by cselland on 8/18/2007 on cselland's blog Ran a dozen pretty decent 400 splits yesterday (Friday) morning - felt quite strong and energized and managed to finish with a flourish. Unfortunately woke up today with a sore left hamstring, so decided to keep off the leg today (had planned to bike/x-train) in prep for tomorrow's 18 miler. As always, dreading the long run but I did map out a nice course on MapMyRun and the weather should be pretty good in the AM - nice and cool for August! These next 2 weeks need to be good because it's going to be tough to train as much after Sept 1. Just got asked to coach not one but TWO of my kids' soccer teams this fall - beginning right after Labor Day. I love it and look forward to it - but it certainly isn't going to help with my training. Got a chuckle when the league director told me that another parent had deferred from coaching because he's 'training for a marathon' - me too! | |
