2007 Colorado Sportswoman ‘Most Inspirational Athlete of the Year’
Diane Groff is organizing workshops for women triathletes. Groff, who became
the first woman to complete the 8-event National Danskin Triathlon Series in one
year, is partnering with endurance coach Ric Rojas to stage a three-part
triathlon workshop for women.
"I wanted to create a meaningful athletic
and educational experience for my fellow cancer survivors," said Groff. “Ric
has done such a great job with my triathlon training and competition that I
thought it would be a perfect match for aspiring triathletes."
The
workshop kicked off last Saturday with a triathlon simulation at the Boulder
Elks Lodge swimming pool and at HealthStyles Exercise Equipment. "Coach Curt
Colby of Boulder Elks Swimming and Brad Libbrecht at HealthStyles have made
their facilities available for our workshops," said
Rojas.
The next session in Boulder is
planned for May 4, 2008 at 2 PM. Please contact Ric Rojas at 303-257-5908 or
Diane Groff at 303-809-6643 for additional information.
