Posted by simon on 7/15/2007 on simon's blog It's cold, it's wet in Sheffield in the north of England, and nothing worked as planned.... world and Olympic 400-metre champion Jeremy Wariner stumbled at the start and, instead of keeping going, just stopped. Weird. Meanwhile Oscar "Blade Runner" Pistorius, the South African double amputee who is trying to convince international athletics authorities to let him compete at the Olympics, clattered round in the outside lane and finished last of the field in 47:65, two seconds behind winner Angelo Taylor. | |
